A design that meets the standard of luxury

Client: The Jewellery Room

Luxury jewellery is sold on more than the jewellery itself. The setting, the framing, and the way each piece is presented carry as much weight as the product. For a retailer working with luxury brands, the site has to live up to that standard, every page, every product, every detail.

We came in as The Jewellery Room's strategic and creative partner with the brief to lift the existing design and bring the site closer to the position the business already holds.

The problem

The Jewellery Room carries some of the most established brands and names in luxury jewellery. The existing site has grown over time, and the presentation of the products has not kept pace with where the business stands today. Product pages, listings, and category views are inconsistent, with no shared rules for how a piece of jewellery should be shown.

The result is a site that works, but does not signal what The Jewellery Room actually is. A retailer of luxury jewellery needs a presence that meets the same standard as the brands they sell.

The solution

We redesigned the site visually, lifting and refining what was already there. The Jewellery Room's brand identity stays intact, while the elements themselves have been redesigned to feel closer to the world of luxury jewellery the business operates in. Layout and the way each product meets the customer were all reworked with that standard in mind.

A central piece of the work was setting clear rules for how products are shown on the site. Photography style, product card structure, listing layouts, and category views are now built on a consistent system, so every product across the entire range is presented with the same level of care.

We worked in Figma for the design, with The Jewellery Room handling the implementation on their Shopify setup.

The outcome

The Jewellery Room has a site that looks like the retailer it is. Every product meets the customer in a way that matches what the brand stands for, and the experience reads as one consistent expression from the first page to the last.

The visual standard now lives in the rules behind the design, not just in the pages we redesigned. New products and new collections can be added without losing the consistency the site is built around.

The point

In luxury retail, the way products are shown is part of the product. A site that does not meet that standard works against the retailer's own brand and the brands they carry. That is why a redesign is not just about sharpening the visual expression. It is about setting the standard for how everything that follows is presented.
